Riley Koepsell had an early love for volleyball at a young age and started by setting a balloon to herself. Next came club volleyball, beach volleyball and also varsity play at Canyon High School where her team made it to CIF. Koepsell became the only freshman on her college team to start at Roosevelt University in Chicago. She then transferred to Orange Coast College and later finished her undergraduate work at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She was on the rowing team at Orange Coast College and returned to volleyball her senior year. Koepsell is currently in graduate school for Marriage and Family Therapy at the Chapman University.

In addition to earning a masters degree and coaching both boys and girls at NOC, Koespsell is the head girls junior varsity coach, assistant girls varsity coach and head boys junior varsity Coach at Canyon High School.

Koespsell wants people to know that there NOC is an outlet to be with friends while working on goals and striving for something more. “As you work hard there is progress in your playing, our coaches can take you to the next level. I just love coaching and seeing the happiness when a teams comes together.”
