- NOC has boys club teams that are divided by skill level from beginner to elite within each age group. Local teams compete in Orange County tournaments, Regional Teams compete in Southern California tournaments and Elite Teams complete in local, regional and national tournaments.
- The 15U-18U boys club season takes place September to mid-January and again from the end of April to the end of June or mid-July depending on the number of events a team plans to participate in. There is fall and spring tryouts for these age groups.
- The 12-14U boys club season takes place mid-September to the end of June or mid-July depending on the number of events a team plans to participate in.
- Club teams practice 3x a week and have 1-3 weekend tournaments per month. The third practice will be a performance training session with OCSF in the El Rancho Charter School weight room.
- The NOC club teams can play or sponsor events sanctioned by USA/SCVA (USA/Southern California Volleyball Association and AAU (Amatuer Athletic Union). Club players will register to one or more of these organizations so they can participate in their events.
- Qualifying events for the AAU National Volleyball Championships and Junior Olympic National Championships are held locally and nationwide throughout the season. Typically colleges complete their recruiting at club events because school seasons are at the same time as college seasons.
- Boys club tryouts are mandatory and a minimum of 12 players must be selected and sign a commitment letter in order to participate in a club season. If there are less than 12 players a developmental training group may be formed.
- Committing to a club team means accepting a roster spot and attending ALL practices and traveling to ALL tournaments including any schedule changes. Do not plan vacations during the club season that affect attending practices or tournaments.
- Boys club team fees vary by team and include two practice tees, two jerseys, two pairs of shorts, a backpack, facility rental fees, coaches fees, insurance, memberships and entry into all regular scheduled tournaments.
- Team fees do not include organization membership fees (ex: SCVA, AAU) and costs to travel, lodge or dine at all club team events.
- Payment plans will be provided at tryouts. Fundraising opportunities and individual or team sponsorships can be pursued. All fees are subject to change at owner’s discretion.
